MEET JIM

Jim Wright born and raised in Story county, on a farm near Collins, Iowa has dedicated a large portion of his adult life to public service. 

For the past 12 years, Jim has served as a trustee of the Story County Medical Board of Trustees. He has been a board member of the Story County Cattlemen and the Story County Pork Producers and a past President of both. 

Jim Wright also has served as a member of the Story County 4-H Fair Board, the Lions Club, including a term as President, the Masonic Lodge, the Iowa Farm Business Association Board, serving a term as President, the Story County Farm Service Agency (FSA, as it's commonly known) for a period of nine years, serving as Chairman the final year.  He has been a member of his local church board and volunteer fire fighter.  

For the last 40 years he has been farming and raising cattle at his family operation.  He  also helped out in the family real estate business.  Jim has been married to his wife Sarah for the last 29 years and they have two children, Nathan and Christina. 

When he is not working then Jim enjoys the outdoors, particularly camping, fishing and riding All-Terrain Vehicles on his farm.
